TEAM NEWS | Naby Sarr replaces the injured Patrick Bauer for Plymouth clash

Charlton manager Lee Bowyer has made one change from the side that beat Bradford City 2-0 last week as Naby Sarr replaces the injured Patrick Bauer for today’s visit of Plymouth Argyle.

Bauer is expected to miss up to 10 weeks after sustaining a high grade LCL tear in Saturday’s win. Sarr returns to the side after scoring in his last appearance, a 3-2 win at The Valley against Wycombe Wanderers a fortnight ago.

The Addicks look set to play a diamond formation with Jed Steer in goal, a back four of Chris Solly, skipper Jason Pearce, Sarr and Lewis Page. If Bowyer opts for the same formation as last week, which had success against Plymouth in his first game in charge last year, Josh Cullen will hold in midfield with Ben Reeves and Joe Aribo ahead of him and Jamie Ward playing behind the in-form front two of Lyle Taylor and Karlan Grant.

Nicky Ajose takes Sarr’s position on the bench as he returns to the squad following a hamstring injury.

Charlton: Steer; Solly, Pearce (C), Sarr, Page; Cullen, Aribo, Reeves, Ward; Grant, Taylor

Substitutes: Phillips, Dijksteel, Marshall, Lapslie, Morgan, Vetokele, Ajose
